Institute on Aging: San Francisco Senior Care & Services

Art Projects For Senior Sites

CEYA serves assisted living and residential communities, adult social day, day health and PACE programs. Where there is interest, CEYA also can serve adult nutrition sites. Our basic programming involves weekly classes in a particular media, lasting 36 to 46 weeks over the course of a one year agreement. Many sites have multiple agreements with CEYA covering a variety of media including writing and poetry classes on one agreement, movement and music on another, and beginning and advanced visual art on a third. Where appropriate, class activities in all media are incorporated into a final presentation, exhibition or event.

Led By Artists

All projects are led by professional artists under the guidance of CEYA's artistic director, Jeff Chapline. Please note that particular artists and media are assigned based on availability.

Fee Information

Projects for Senior Sites are $4,700 for Non-Profits and $7,400 for For-Profit organizations. In addition, there is a $2,000 framing fee in the first year of service.

I always like autumn
Best
You can hide in fog
And damp
And wet
And wind
And lots of
good sourdough bread
And persimmons
And the 49ers
And listen to politics
Downtown
At the Civic Center
And go to the Golden Gate Bridge
With your intimate friend, family, or dog
And go sneakered
And be invigorated
By fresh air filling your lungs
And cars
And ships
And people going by
All the time
Not only in the fall.
